Renta! announced on Wednesday that Taiyō no Taiyō MANGA SHOKUNIN STUDIO and Hare Takizawa's Redoing My Youth In Another World -The God Of Death Is My Fanboy- ( Seishun no Yarinaoshi wa Isekai de -Shinigami wa Ore no Koto ga Sukisugiru- ) vertical boys-love manga is receiving an "AniComi" or "motion comic" adaptation which will start airing in January 2027 on the Tokyo MX channel. The announcement also presented the motion comic's teaser promotional video, key visual, main cast, and main staff.

Tomohito Takatsuka voices Makoto Fuwa (right in image above), and Ryūichi Kijima voices the God of Death Thanatos (left). Additional cast members include Akinori Egoshi as Metatron, Sōhei Horikane as Belphegor, Yōhei Matsuoka as Taotie, and Kengo Kawanishi as Uriel.
Keita Ando is directing the motion comic at the animation production studio Do-Raku in collaboration with Digital Shokunin . Kapiko and Chika Itabashi are the technical directors. Sayoko Itō , Yūma Saitō , Mirai Iwai , Hiiro, and Takuma Hase are all in charge of cinematography and AI-assisted cinematography. Takahiro Enomoto is the sound director, and sound production is by Studio Mausu .
Renta! developed "AniComi" as a format to add motion and sound to manga. With Redoing My Youth In Another World -The God Of Death Is My Fanboy- , Renta! uses traditional motion comic production methods, but is also incorporating generative AI technology in some shots. The company said that the AI-generated assets have undergone manual touch-ups and processing such as compositing and editing, and necessary permissions from rights holders have been obtained for its use.
Redoing My Youth In Another World -The God Of Death Is My Fanboy- launched on Renta! as its first original vertical BL manga in July 2024. Taiyō no Taiyō MANGA SHOKUNIN STUDIO is drawing the manga, and Takizawa is credited for the original story. Renta! has released four digital compiled book volumes of the manga.
