Square Enix annnounced during the Nintendo Direct livestream on Wednesday that the 1995 Romancing SaGa 3 game is getting a remake titled Romancing SaGa 3: Destinies United for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on February 16. The company unveiled two trailers:
The remake features 3D graphics, refined gameplay, newly arranged music, and voice acting. The game features eight protagonists (Mikhail, Monika, Katarina, Khalid, Julian, Thomas, Sarah, Ellen), 20 recruitable companions, and the "Glimmer" system for acquiring new abilities.

Set in a world caught in a devastating cosmic cycle known as the Rise of Morastrum, which occurs once every 300 years and claims the life of everyone born that year except a single survivor known as the Child of Destiny, players will choose between eight heroes bound by fate. A little over a dozen years after the last disaster, the Four Sinistrals have returned, seeking to reopen the Abyss Gates and bring ruin to the world. On their journey to save the world, players can choose which lands to visit, which stories to pursue and the order in which to confront the Sinistrals, ensuring a unique adventure with every playthrough.
Romancing SaGa 3 debuted for Super Famicom in 1995. The remastered version of the game launched for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Switch, Xbox One, PC, iOS, and Android in November 2019.
The Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven HD remake game launched digitally for Switch, PS5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam , as well as physically for Switch and PS5, in October 2024. The game got a Switch 2 Edition in August 2025.
