Level 5 Announces Yo-kai Watch 2: Haunted Domain Game for Switch 2

Level 5 announced during the English Nintendo Direct livestream on Wednesday a new updated verison of the Yo-kai Watch 2 Nintendo 3DS game titled Yo-kai Watch 2: Haunted Domain for Nintendo Switch 2. The English-subtitled video shows Jibanyan, Whisper, and series' protagonist Nate (Keita in Japan). The company also teases new Yo-kai.

Yo-kai Watch 1 for Switch , a Nintendo Switch port of the original Yo-kai Watch Nintendo 3DS game, debuted in Japan in October 2019. The game is a remaster with HD graphics. The game did not get a release in the West.

The Yo-kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits and Yo-kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls games launched for 3DS in Japan in July 2014, in North America in September 2016, and in Europe in April 2017. The Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters game then shipped in Japan in December 2014 and in North America and Europe in September 2017.

Level 5 announced the Yo-kai Watch franchise in 2011 with a game, manga, and anime already planned. The franchise 's first game for 3DS debuted in Japan in July 2013, and the original anime premiered in January 2014.

Yo-kai Watch 3 , the last game in the series released in the West, launched for 3DS in two versions — Yo-kai Watch 3: Sushi and Yo-kai Watch 3: Tempura — in July 2016. The company later released a Yo-kai Watch 3: Sukiyaki version in December 2016.

Yo-kai Watch 4++ , the enhanced version of the Yo-kai Watch 4: Bokura wa Onaji Sora o Miageteiru (We Look Up Toward the Same Sky) Switch game , launched for PlayStation 4 and Switch in December 2019. The original game debuted for Switch in June 2019 after multiple delays .
