Kirby: Mugen no Haguruma—Kiri ni Tsutsumareta Daijiken!? , the latest novel based on Nintendo 's Kirby franchise , ranked second with 24,410 copies sold. Kadokawa published the novel on August 5. Kadokawa previously published the Kirby and the Forgotten Land: Shooting Star Starly World Arc novel on March 11.
The first part of the Witch on the Holy Night novel adaptation by writer Kinoko Nasu and Hirokazu Koyama ranked third with 19,560 copies sold. Seikaisha published the novel on August 27. The Witch on the Holy Night anime film will open in Japan on November 20. The original visual novel game's smartphone version will also release simultaneously on November 20.
